Updating a Code Table Outside of EBI 3
Step 1 - Create Code Table
Below is an example of a Code Table that could be used in Cleo Clarify.
Step 2 - Locate the Code Table
If an Clarify user did not want to use the Cleo Clarify studio to update the code table when needed, we could update the file manually.
First the Clarify user would need to know the path to the Code Table file.
If the Clarify user already knows the path to the workspace folder then the code table object can be located.
If the Clarify user does not know the path they can right click the Code Table object and select Properties.
A box will appear and select Resource. This will show the path to the object.
Step 3 - Updating the Code Table File
To update the file the EBI user will need to open the file with an editing program. In this example, the Clarify user will be using UltraEdit.
TextPad and any other editing program will work as well.
Below, is the the Code Table opened as a simple text file.
In the scenario below we update the Kmart entry with the value to “5555”.
After updating the Kmart entry below, the EBI user needs to save the file.
